BHPFA in Western Nebraska Photo Contest 2023

Description

Black Hills Parks and Forests Association (BHPFA) is an official non-profit partner for Scotts Bluff National Monument, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, and Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands. Celebrate the unique beauty of these lands by sharing your photos!





Time

Entries must be submitted by August 9th, 2023. The winner will be announced on August 16th.

Submission Rules:

  1.  The photos must be taken from one of our Nebraska BHPFA locations: Scotts Bluff National Monument, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, Hudson Meng Bison Bone Bed, Bessey Tree Nursery, and  Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands.
  2.  Participants can enter up to 3 photos.
  3. All entries are to be submitted via event registration on the BHPFA website.
  4. The participant must take the entered photo. If plagiarism occurs, the photo will not enter the library, and the participant will face disqualification.
  5. No photos with explicit materials, e.i. Nudity, violence, etc. Photos with these themes will be immediately discarded, and the participant will be disqualified.
  6. Photo altering is limited to cropping 
  7.  All entries are to be submitted via event registration on the BHPFA website. 
  8. When traveling on public lands please be sure to follow Leave No Trace Ethics and the rules and restrictions of each park and forest. 

The winner will receive a limited edition William Henry Jackson print with a certificate of authenticity! 

BHPFA will reserve the right to have free use of the photo for social media, website, advertising, printing of brochures and flyers, Etc. You will still have the right to your photo, and credit will always be given to the owner of that photo.
